Life with Twins: One Month Later

Remind me again, what day of the week is it?

Life with twins is hard. The last four weeks have been a blur of diapers, poop, burping and crazy sleep schedules. One day melts into the next with feedings every 2-3 hours, it leaves little separation from day to night. Not to mention, I have some serious usability issues with the ridiculousness known as a breast pump. Seriously, who designed those things. Men? Couldn’t the design be a little more subtle than having 2 huge contraptions the size of Texas strapped to your chest? I am a human, not a cow.

Instead of obsessing over HTML, CSS and Photoshop – I’m now obsessing over the lack of sleep and looking forward to simple joys, like a shower. Yet, everyone reassures me that it does get easier… until they begin dating.

I see now that it does take a village and I miss my family in St. Louis now more than ever. So Mom and Dad, thanks for putting up with me and I apologize for every gray hair I ever caused you

    Hey Larissa.

Hope you are hanging in there. And just so you know, it does get a little easier when they get older. The poop and the throw-up gets bigger too :) . My experience has shown that as long as you don’t let them learn to speak or go to school…you will always have little angels.

Give us a shout sometime if you need anything.

Hang in there girl! They are so beautiful. Your daughter is always snuggling up to her brother. It’s adorable. Remember to call if you ever need an ear…. or if you ever need to laugh. Maybe we can Skype and I can see the little ones…

I feel sorry for you and that pump. I walked in on my sister once and was like “Oh MY, ouch!”

    best,
    T
