200 Diapers a Week… WHAT?!

I think it’s all starting to sink in. TWO! Yes, two… double diapers, double spit-up and crying in surround sound. In preparation for the madness, my brain has been hijacked by hormones and the deep desire to “nest” – especially because most twins are born early.  We went with a neutral theme speckled with color. Not too feminine and not too masculine since we’re having one of each.

Oh, and did I mention we will go through about 140-200 diapers a WEEK?!  *Gulp*

One of my favorite elements in the nursery are the Fabler canopies from Ikea. Of course, when the babies start getting grabby and moving we’ll have to look at removing them or making sure they are out of reach from the crib. But it’s a really nice way to add height and soften the room.

    @larissameek I have 6-month-old triplets. Definitely no way to really prepare for multiples. We probably hit 300 diapers a week at one pt!

    I have b/g twins who are now 16 months, and honestly, it does get better. They are both down to six diapers a day which is only 84 a week. You will find rhythm with your twins which leads to a routine which leads to predicability in budgeting for diapers. This will go by so fast that you’ll wonder.

    Congrats Larissa. I don’t know you personally but remember when you did the Average Joe show. I am really glad you found a great mate. The baby’s room looks sooo cute.

    I just got married myself a few months ago – for the first time–at age 43.

    Sometimes it takes a while to find a great guy out there.
