American Gladiators

I hate sports, but I’m loving American Gladiators 2.0. Talk about quality TV! With updated sliver spandex outfits (minus the feathered mullets and cool headbands), the new gladiators look pretty intimidating.

All of us kids who stayed up late to watch this back in the early 90′s will get goosebumps when they see the Power Ball event. I actually found myself screaming at the TV and stopped to look around and see if anyone saw me.

This is reality TV at it’ best. My only complaint is the cheesy interviews that set up the contenders. They seem overly produced and fake. The women contenders are much more entertaining than the men so far.

    Haha. I actually watched American Gladiators here in Sweden when I was a kid. Loved it ;)

    I watched the fireman in the first competition. However, after a day of playoff football and the Amazing Race, I was burned out on TV and competition.

    I’m a big fan of Mixed Martial Arts; the masses call it cage fighting or ultimate fighting, disappointing. Anyhow, Crush is a Mixed Martial Artist! She pulled guard, an MMA position, on that pyramid thing. Check our her figher stats, Gina Carano.

    As for the show itself, I watched it on and off. I thought the woman’s Eliminator, in the first show, was absolutely hilarious/ridiculous. So much so, I don’t think I will watch American Gladiators again.

    lol I remember watching the original show back in the day and I did hear about the new show but I havent had a chance to check it out yet. I’ll have to see at least one episode no matter how dumb it may be.
