I think it’s a cool idea…I particularly like their “Wedding Shop” idea – to rent some really nice jewelry for a really special occasion, but not have to buy something at full price. With handbags, I’d rather just own it…maybe because my taste in handbags only runs in the $300 range!

That’s flipping genius. Yes it is the car leasing model more or less, but taking something old and applying it in a new way is the core of innovation!

Simply brilliant. I love to see clever businesses models start up.

basicaly what you are suggesting is a form of leasing, they do it a lot with cars and machinery’s and houses.

I’m with John; I just don’t get it with women’s obsession for handbags, shoes or anything else of the matter. Bah humbug!

But I’m more concerned that this can be an expensive addiction.

Really hard to say… renting it may not be so great not unless if say you borrow it but you get some cash back.. like a deposit after you borrow something. In the case of jewelery I’d rather own them haha. It’s a lot simpler Picture this u rent like a bunch of earrings for say $10 a month… and then u lose one of themm… of the torture lol

I’m only interested in renting cloth grocery bags when I forget to bring them to the store.
Actually, I wouldn’t mind renting a nice dress for a charity event. But I get them off of eBay instead.

Too scary. I’d be too afraid of losing the bag or having something happen to it that I couldn’t enjoy the use of it. Reminds me of the episode on the King of Queens where Carrie figures out how to work the system by “buying” a luxury item, wearing it with the tags and then returning it before the return period ran out. I had to turn that episode off…
