It doesn’t feel quite like Christmas until you start seeing all the commercials for the “perfect gift”, such as the nifty “Ch-ch-ch-chia!” Pet which is now available as Garfield and even Scooby Doo! Oh, the unrelenting joy! I’m just about to burst with the exciting thought that I can now have a Garfield “Ch-ch-ch-chia!” Chai Pet who can grow his own green afro!
And if you don’t have a green thumb, you can even get a cuddly version. (I might have to admit that it’s kinda cute in a weird way.)
The following commercial had me drooling even more. The Clapper, wow! That’s perfect! I like to walk around and clap my hands anyway so imagine how much fun I could have making my own disco party! The clapping, the lights turning off and on, woo hoo!
I know it’s Christmas when I see the little old lady at the end of the commercial clap her hands and simultaneously turn off both the light and her TV – AT THE SAME TIME! It’s ingenious. But wait!… Isn’t there a newer invention that does the same? I think it’s called the *gasp* remote control.
Ah, the Chia pet and clapper, the perfect last minute Holiday gift when you are at Walgreen’s and you forgot to get someone something. I’ve never received one. Have you and if so , how did you hide your excitement (or disappointment)?
