AgencyNet wins FWA (SOTD) for Bacardi DJ 06!

Talk about an exciting month! Bacardi DJ 06 wins Favourite Website Awards (FWA) site of the day, making this the second site of the day for an AgencyNet created site in the past two weeks.

Bacardi DJ allows users to create their own music mixes on realistic digital equipment and download them as MP3’s to their iPods or other MP3 players. They can save their mixes and share them with others.

    Hi there

congratulations for the awards, you guys really deserve it. I stumbled upon your site through cssremix and subsequently found my way to your webdesign site, both of them being very impressed to say the least. of course I also checked out agencynet, which isn’t any less impressive, especially because I’m usually not too fond of “flash”y things…

anyhow, I’m not here to polish apples, I’ve got a question about the font you use all over this site and the Q is quite simply: how do they work??? I just havent been able to figure it out, and now I cant sleep, I need to know!

    A) Your code tells me it’s just CSS using some super special font
    B) My mind tells me it’s some whacky image replacement technique using some PHP or ASP script
    C) your CSS file tells me it cant be Option A since I couldn’t find a rule declaring the H2 tag to use such a font…
    D) Background-images… although if this is the case I fail to comprehend why I can select individual letters or whole words and paste them into a text procession app correctly…
    E) I’m hallucinating and this site doesnt really exist, in which case I’ve typed this message into nothingness. no questions, no answers I suppose.

    err, help?

muchas gracias for any help! feel free to send me an email, dont wanna spam your blog with technical stuff, unless you dont mind of course.
    cheers!

HI! All you need is SIFR.

sIFR is meant to replace short passages of plain browser text with text rendered in your typeface of choice, regardless of whether or not your users have that font installed on their systems. It accomplishes this by using a combination of javascript, CSS, and Flash.
